You say, “I have done so many bad things, God could never accept me!”
Listen to what it says in the Bible.
““Brothers, listen! We are here to proclaim that through this man Jesus there is forgiveness for your sins. Everyone who believes in him is made right in God’s sight—something the law of Moses could never do.”
— Acts of the Apostles 13:38-39 NLT
“Yet we know that a person is made right with God by faith in Jesus Christ, not by obeying the law. And we have believed in Christ Jesus, so that we might be made right with God because of our faith in Christ, not because we have obeyed the law. For no one will ever be made right with God by obeying the law.””
— Galatians 2:16 NLT
Jesus took all our sins and guilt upon himself, when he hung on the Cross. He took our shame and proclaimed us ‘not guilty’. His death literally bought our life and freedom.
Obeying a list of rules does not make us right with God. For indeed, “if keeping the law could make us right with God, then there was no need for Christ to die.”
—Galatians 2:21 NLT
“For it is by believing in your heart that you are made right with God, and it is by openly declaring your faith that you are saved.”
—Romans 10:10 NLT
“For “Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.””
—Romans 10:13 NLT
It is Jesus’ death and resurrection that has brought us back into a good relationship with God the Father. God declares us righteous.
We can live as forgiven people, free from our lives of sin!

The Lord is merciful and gracious,
Slow to anger, and abounding in mercy.
He will not always strive with us,
Nor will He keep His anger forever.
He has not dealt with us according to our sins,
Nor punished us according to our iniquities.
For as the heavens are high above the earth,
So great is His mercy toward those who fear Him;
As far as the east is from the west,
So far has He removed our transgressions from us.
– Psalm 103:8-12 NIVUK
When God forgives us, we are forgiven. That might sound obvious, but how often do we pick up those bags of guilt and shame we have carried for so many years, and let them drag us down? God does not keep pointing his finger at us, reminding us of our past failures. He is a good Father.
Choose this day how you will live your lives. You are already accepted. God chooses to love you. He knows you. He sees what you have been through. He hears your cries. He calls you his children. so, live in freedom, with the God who loves you so much, that he was willing to let his Son die for you (John 3:16).
